What makes Lumoure Skin different from other brands?
At Lumoure Skin, we believe in ancestral wisdom combined with modern science. What is Tallow, and why is it good for my skin?
Tallow is rendered animal fat, and we strictly use 100% grass-fed beef tallow. While it might sound unusual at first, tallow is an ancestral skincare secret. It is incredibly rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K, and its fatty acid profile closely mimics human sebum (the oils your skin naturally produces). This means your skin recognizes it, absorbs it deeply, and uses it to repair the skin barrier without clogging pores.
Does the Whipped Tallow Balm smell like beef?
Not at all! Our tallow is carefully purified and whipped to a luxurious, buttery texture. We infuse it with natural vanilla bean extract, giving it a soft, warm, and calming scent that our customers love.
Are your products safe for sensitive or acne-prone skin?
Yes! Because our ingredients are natural and biocompatible, they are generally excellent for sensitive skin, eczema, and rosacea. Tallow is non-comedogenic (won't clog pores) and helps balance your skin's natural oil production. However, as with any new skincare product, we always recommend doing a small patch test first.
Are your products cruelty-free?
Yes. While we do use animal-derived ingredients like grass-fed tallow and snail mucin, we ensure all our ingredients are ethically and sustainably sourced. Our products are never tested on animals.
